2. Information collected and why

Your name
Identifies your order and helps the business communicate with you. A name is required by the website order form.
Phone and WhatsApp details
The phone field is optional. When you send a message, WhatsApp may also reveal your account’s phone number and profile information to the business. These details support order confirmation and delivery communication.
Delivery address
Required for a delivery order so the business can deliver your chicken. You can enter it manually without sharing your device location.
Optional device location
Only requested when you select “Use my location” and your browser permits location access. Latitude and longitude are used to find an address. Location accuracy varies; you can review and edit the address before sending your order.
Order details
Selected products, quantities, collection or delivery choice, and optional preferred date and notes help fulfil the order. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in notes.
Technical information
Hosting and connected services may process IP addresses, request details and security logs to serve and protect the website. The business’s complete provider and logging arrangements still need confirmation.

3. What happens when you use location or WhatsApp?

The address lookup sends coordinates through the website’s server and Lovable’s connector gateway to Google Maps. The returned address fills the delivery field. The website does not continuously track your location.

The WhatsApp button opens a pre-filled message containing your order details. If you used location, a Google Maps link containing coordinates may also be included. Review the entire message in WhatsApp before sending it, especially if you changed the detected address or switched to collection. Editing the address does not itself change the original map pin.

The business receives the message when you send it in WhatsApp. Opening WhatsApp also involves WhatsApp handling the pre-filled content under its own terms; it is not an anonymous transfer. You may decline location access and type your address instead.

4. Reasons for processing and sharing

Customer details are used to respond to enquiries, take steps towards an order, fulfil an accepted order, arrange delivery and deal with related complaints. These purposes may rely on contractual necessity, legal obligations or a legitimate interest permitted by POPIA, depending on the circumstances. Optional browser location permission is not blanket consent for unrelated uses or marketing.

Relevant information may be processed by WhatsApp/Meta, Google Maps and the website hosting and connector providers. Delivery personnel may need your address and contact details to fulfil a delivery; the business must confirm its actual delivery arrangements and any other recipients. Some providers may process information outside South Africa. The business must verify applicable cross-border safeguards under POPIA.

See WhatsApp’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. Provider policies do not replace the business’s own obligations.

5. Storage and retention

The website keeps product selections and quantities in your browser’s local storage so your cart can persist. The order form holds entered details in the current page; it does not save completed orders to a website order database. Messages you send are handled in WhatsApp, and providers may maintain their own logs or backups.

Orders and customer details
The business has not yet confirmed a retention period for WhatsApp orders, customer names, phone numbers and delivery addresses. Contact us for the current arrangements.
Location information
Coordinates are used for the address lookup and a map link may accompany your WhatsApp order. A retention period for received map links and provider logs has not yet been confirmed.
Statutory records
Financial and other statutory records may need to be kept for periods required by applicable law. The business must confirm the periods applicable to its records.
Deletion and backups
The business has not yet confirmed its deletion schedule or backup arrangements. These pages do not automatically delete WhatsApp messages or third-party records.

6. Security and your choices

The website uses HTTPS and relies on browser permission for device location. These measures do not guarantee complete security. The business must confirm its staff access controls, device protection, backup practices and procedures for reporting security compromises under POPIA.

You can decline location permission, revoke it in your browser settings, correct your address, and choose not to send the pre-filled WhatsApp message. Revoking permission does not erase information already sent. Clearing this website’s browser data removes the local cart, not WhatsApp messages or provider records.

7. Your rights and complaints

Subject to POPIA’s conditions, you may request access to your personal information, correction or deletion, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Deletion may be limited by lawful retention obligations. Contact the business above with your request; proportionate identity verification may be needed. Do not send identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel.

For access-to-records requests, read the PAIA manual. You may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa without first using the business’s complaint process.

8. AI sales-terms questions

When you ask an order question on the sales-terms page, your question and the public sales terms are sent through Lovable AI Gateway to an AI model to generate an answer. The feature does not access your cart, name, delivery address, device location or WhatsApp messages. Do not include personal or sensitive information in your question.

Questions and answers are held only in the current page and are not saved as conversations in the website’s database or browser storage. Clearing the answer or leaving the page removes the displayed exchange, but does not delete provider or hosting records. Lovable and hosting providers may process request information and logs; their retention and cross-border safeguards still need business confirmation. AI answers are not order confirmations, complaint submissions or legal advice.

9. Updates

Changes will be reflected in this notice and its update date. Unconfirmed contact, retention and operational details must be reviewed by the business before this notice can be treated as a complete account of its practices.
